| Great Plains Harmony hosts Great Northern Union in Gospel Show
Submitted by: Justin McCullough On March 8th, 2008, Great Plains Harmony produced their annual gospel show with 30 guest community singers from the greater Fargo-Moorhead area. Some singers came from as far as Minot, North Dakota located hundreds of miles away. In addition to regional quartets, we also shared the stage with guest artists Great Northern Union chorus. They were in Fargo as an auditioned ensemble representing our art form as part of the North Central American Choral Director's Association regional convention. The show started out with the community chorus singing two songs with Great Plain Harmony. After that GPH and GNU performed individually for the audience. Then, we topped the night off with Great Plains Harmony, Great Northern Union and the community guests singing together for the final two songs, ‘Swing Down Chariot’ and ‘He Never Failed Me Yet’. Needless to say, our guests were excited after sharing this concert experience. Not only did they sing a great set of songs with over 130 men, but they got to perform in front of a standing ovation totaling nearly 1200 people! The men at Great Plains Harmony want to extend a thank you to Great Northern Union, not only for singing on our show, but for helping us share our hobby with our 30 guests and a grateful audience.
